Alice

03/05/10 | by Slightly [mail] | Categories: Books, Movies, Songs

It comes out today.
The reviews are dreadful, but I´m still going to watch it.

At the very worse, I´ll cry myself to sleep after stomping around the movie theater throwing popcorn at the screen, screaming “Boo! Boo!” as if I were the ugly old woman in “The Princess Bride.”

P.S. I love Mr. Burton.
I love most of Lewis Carroll´s creatures.
Now that being said, Tim Burton´s “Alice in Wonderland” was mediocre at best.
Go see it if you have nothing better to do.

Can I say at least one nice thing about it?
Sure, I´ll say two.
The colors were nice and bright and the giant “chess board” where the armies meet is lovely.
Oh, and the teapots are really pretty.
Look at that! I even had 3 nice things to say.

Could you do a review after? Tom and I are Tim Burton fans but I have been disappointed a lot by movies lately. Plus it will help me decide if it is worth weekend prices or just weekday. (I am sure I will see it either way.)

That´s funny because Alice was the first literary character I felt identified with.

Actually, I have heard really good reviews for this movie. I have had several friends see it, and they all loved it. Honestly it's a Johnny Depp movie, how bad can that be?
