You people make me laugh.
And it´s a good laugh.
I´m glad I have wonderful friends who worry about me and super glad I can get your heart racing by writing silly things.
There was no s&m last night (and I´m considerably certain there will never be), and there wasn´t any dancing either (sadly, the guys I tend to like, tend to despise dancing).
Instead, I made some chicken and a tortilla de patatas, grabbed some books and headed to the park to have a picnic.
And here´s a picture of me showing what my phone can do, that is, put ridiculous daisies around anything.
The evening was wonderful and I spent it with someone very dear to me.
You should´ve seen his face when he read about the s&m. He was…I dunno how he was, but what he said was: you usually don´t write like that on your blog!
And it´s true, I usually don´t write like that.
Sorry if I scared you.
I don´t think I have ever before apologized for something written here.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and if you´re interested in photos with fake daisies, let me know. I know a guy.
Anna got her first kiss today.
At a friend´s house. A boy named Christian.
My sister said Oh, my! and wiggled her condemning finger in front of Anna´s face.
Since my sister chose the righteous approach, I played the opposite role: I danced on the webcam and jumped and sang and asked Anna if Christian was hot (Very!) and if she was gonna marry him (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! No!), while my sister shook her head in the background.
Before Anna shared the news, I went on my 3 mile run.
I have so much energy today, I ran 4 miles instead. And I´m still fidgeting.
I feel like Dr. Manhattan. Or a pressure coooker.
Should I go on another run? because I don´t know how to use up all this energy.
Actually, there´s always…that.
Looking at you, kid.
You better bring your A game tonight.
You´re taking me dancing.
And maybe some S&M while watching “Modern Marvels” afterwards?
If on a plate I have:
What am I missing for this to be a complete, wholesome, healthy meal? Or what should I remove?
This is my new favorite snack:
If you love the thickness and creaminess of greek yogurt, try siggi´s (0 grams of fat!).
I LOVE their packaging, with the brilliantly simple graphics and pretty lower case.
They have lots of delicious flavors, none of them overly sweet or overbearing.
At almost $2.00, it may sound a little expensive for a yogurt but, trust me, inside every little package you´re getting 6 oz. of spoonable heaven.
Today is a very happy Monday after a great birthday weekend.
I´ll tell you all about it, but first things first.
Here´s the Happy-Song Monday! song. Monday. Song.
Do you disapprove?
Alright you’ve made your point
You don’t have to choose right now
I don’t have the time to step into that joint
No one wants to see my face there anyhowMonday come like Tuesday
You were something else I will admit
I remember what you told me
I only wish I could forget
I only wish I could forgetStanding in the sun
Smoking quiet cigarettes
Just before I let you down
Funny how a heart shatters all at once
Seems like it should make a soundToo much to ask
Just one kiss
You’ll never know
What I’m gonna miss
Yes I’m getting old
Wandering this way
Wondering what’s wrong and right
Traveled alone but the traffic holds it still
Did I lose the will to fight?-The Weepies
I´m slightly sunburned. (Thanks for gifting me sunscreen!)
Some say I look toasty.
A toast to those who say that.
And no, I´m not forgetting a thing and yeah, “You were something else I will admit".
Thanks to everyone for…everything: the laughs, the comedy, the persian food, my new purse, the conversations, the books and the socks.
Special thanks to:
Of course I didn’t accept either screw nor will I convert to Hinduism, but I may consider the Peace Corps. Thanks again to everyone for the experiences; I appreciated MOST of them.
All in all, turning 35 wasn´t half as bad as I thought it would be.
We should do it again next weekend.
